Fans of Supernatural are known for their unmatched dedication. Their loyalty to the fantasy drama created by Eric Kripke helped the show achieve an impressive milestone—running for 15 seasons, a rare accomplishment in television. Even nearly six years after the series finale left the Winchester brothers, played by Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles, standing on a bridge, the fan community continues to keep the series alive. Through conventions, fan events, meet-and-greets, discussion panels, and ongoing support for the actors’ new projects, the show’s legacy remains strong.

At the end of last year, the series also experienced a shift in its streaming availability. After spending years on Netflix, the show expanded to new platforms including Peacock and Prime Video. Despite the huge libraries on those services, Supernatural quickly found an audience once again. Its popularity hasn’t slowed down either—currently the series ranks as the ninth most-watched television title on Peacock in the United States.

What Have the Winchester Brothers Been Doing Since the Supernatural Finale?

In the years since the show concluded, both lead actors have remained busy with new projects. Ackles, alongside his wife Danneel Ackles, produced a prequel series titled The Winchesters. The show explored the early story of Sam and Dean’s parents in an alternate universe, giving them a happier ending than the original series allowed. Ackles also appeared in the action series Countdown on Prime Video, though it was unfortunately canceled after just one season.

Meanwhile, Padalecki quickly moved on to another leading role. He starred in Walker, a reboot of the classic ’90s show Walker, Texas Ranger. The reboot ran for four seasons and even spawned a spin-off before ultimately being canceled in 2024. More recently, Padalecki made an appearance in the CBS series Fire Country. Fans will soon see him reunite with Ackles and Collins in the fifth and final season of The Boys.

For anyone wanting to revisit the Winchester brothers’ journey—or experience it for the first time—the entire series of Supernatural is now available to stream on Peacock.
